Hey, it’s Rob Lohman over at Lifted From The Rut. Thanks again for checking out this video. I put this video together for a couple reasons. One, I just want to create awareness about what do we do over at Lifted From The Rut? And then secondly, how can you support what we’re doing if you want to? Because I get a lot of people that reach out to me and say, “Hey, Rob, how can we support what you’re doing?”. But first, I want to explain what is it that Lifted From The Rut does.
Lifted From The Rut came about because I just saw a humongous need for people, not just in recovery, but just in life in general. So, when I first got sober back in 2001, this was a common theme that ran, I just want to say like through my loins, if you will, or through my body and my brain. It became kind of a mantra of mine, but I didn’t know what to do with it at the time. So, four and a half years, five years ago, it kind of came back to me and said, “Hey, you need to do something with Lifted From The Rut”.
So, due to life circumstances, if you know my whole story, I decided to get into the intervention and recovery coaching world, to help people suffering from addictions, and that was where I started in December 2015. Fast forward to today, and now what Lifted From The Rut offers people is, we do interventions and recovery coaching.
And I will let you know; I do this from two different perspectives.
One, from a traditional perspective of just helping people in recovery, kind of wherever they are, doesn’t matter what your backgrounds are, I will work with anybody. But my faith, my faith is from a Christian perspective. So, if people come to me and say, “Hey, Rob, I want to do coaching or I want to approach an intervention from a Christian perspective”, I also will do that because that is one thing I am extremely passionate about. I just want you to hear this, I will work with anybody. I don’t care what your faith background is, I don’t care what your background is at all, I’ve been through so much in my life that I just want to help people get on the right path. Your spiritual journey is your spiritual journey. But just to let you know, if people want a Christian perspective, then come to me, I get people that call every now and then say, “Hey, Rob, I had someone call me, and they wanted a Christian interventionist or a Christian recovery coach”. And so, I’m known for that. But I just want you to hear I work with anybody, okay?
I also have a global podcast called Beyond the Bars Radio. I also do Sober Open Mic nights as a community effort. So, if you hear my heart, I want to help everybody. But that is obviously not possible. Some people come to me and have absolutely no money, but they want a recovery coach. A family will call me and has absolutely no money to help their loved one get into treatment, and I will provide them with resources, but I can’t spend all my time helping people for free.
So, the reason that I partnered up with New Horizons Foundations, and they partnered up with me, is because they help people that offer what you can call a ministry, because that is really what this is. It’s my calling in life to help people get on the right track.
So, with that said, I want to invite you to join me in helping people. Maybe you have a heart for it, and you’re not in the industry, but you want to provide an opportunity for people to get help. So, if you’re willing to partner with me, maybe on a monthly basis, maybe just a onetime gift, maybe you want to help out and do a matching gift campaign sometime, please reach out to me.
Click on the buttons on this on this page that New Horizons put together for me and click on there and just again, become a monthly supporter at $25, $50, $100, $500, whatever it is, but anything will help and I will use that money to further what I am doing to help people.
If someone calls me and says, “Hey, I have no money for recovery coaching”, right? And I can’t just work for free, then I’ll pull some money out of that fund, to help pay me a little bit of money for my services to help this person that has no money. So, your money that you want to support, I’m asking for prayers, whatever it is, I will use that money for good to help people that cannot afford to get help.
So, I want to invite you into that. Again, my name is Rob Lohman. You know, I am an inter–… no, I’m a child of God first, who is blessed to be able to do interventions and coaching and podcasting and sober open mics and I would love for you to partner up with myself, and there’s a lot of people, I’d say they’re a part of my team because there’s a huge network of people that I partner with in the community and around the country.
So, hopefully you’ll take this wherever it needs to go for you, if it’s just praying for the Lifted From The Rut business and ministry, then that is great. If it is to help financially, that is awesome. Maybe you know people that might want to help, please share this with them. Share it on your Facebook page, send them an email, have them call me at 970-331-4469. Call me, 970-331-4469, ask me questions. I would love to partner up with you and have you partner with me but just be a part of the journey together.
So, that’s all I have for now. God bless and let’s see; I think I took my eyes off the camera there for a second at the end. But anyway, it doesn’t matter where we’re looking, what we’re doing, all these things, it’s just– we want to help people and I would love to partner up with you. So, have a great day. God bless and enjoy the weather, wherever you are.
